Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank is a leading global investment bank with strong and profitable private clients. This is a bank operating worldwide. Its headquarter is in Deustche Bank Twin Towers, which is located in Frankfurt, Germany. Ranked by revenues and profits, it is one of the largest investment banks in the world with over 75,000 employees across the globe. Deutsche Bank was founded in Germany in January, 1870. This bank was founded as a specialized bank for foreign trade in Berlin. The bank opened its first branches outside Germany in Shanghai, Yokohama and London. Major projects in its first decades include the Northern Pacific Railroad in the United States and also the Baghdad raiway in 1888. It also financed bond offerings of the steel concern Krupp.

During the first three decades of the 20th century, the bank expanded quickly and merged with other local German banks. Ultimately it merged with the Disconto-Gesellschaft in 1929. In 2006, the business in Germany became extended by the acquisition of the Berliner Bank and the Noris Bank. Furthermore, the Deutsche Bank started offering financial services from its German branch in 2006. Deutsche Bank is a member of the Global ATM Alliance. This is a joint venture of several major international banks that allows their customers to use their ATM cards of check cards at any other banks within the Global ATM Alliance at no extra charge.

In the 9/11 terrorist attack on the twin towers, the Deutsche Bank building was almost destroyed in its main entrance and lobby. The bank was relocated in New York City area unit to 60 Wall Street.

The logo of the Deutsche Bank was designed in July 1972. The logo is the “slash in a square” that truly fulfills the consistent growth and dynamic development of the bank.
