South trust Bank is one of the premier banks in Florida, USA. Recently in 2004 the bank collaborated with Wachovia Corporation . Today South trust Bank and Wachovia are serves as a premier institution in financial services. South trust Bank began its operation as Birmingham trust and Savings Company on Dec. 9, 1887. After about five decades the bank acquired a national bank charter and got the name Birmingham trust National Bank. It served as one-bank holding company in Alabama and then as a multi-bank holding company before being known as South trust Corporation.
