The Bank of New York is also known as BNY. It is actually a global company for financial services. The bank was established in the year 1784 by Alexander Hamilton and this makes the the Bank of New York one of the oldest banks in the history of United States. This man is also responsible for the rules and regulations of the bank. These rules and regulations guided the banks through the early stages of the bank as an organization. The Bank of New York opened its first branch in Lower Manhattan at the Waltan House. There are four key areas in which the Bank of New York operates. These four key areas include treasury management, Securities Servicing, Private Banking and Investment Management.
