World Bank Publications

The World Bank was established by the World Bank group on 27th December 1945. The concept of establishing the World Bank was originally thought on 27th December 1945, following the Bretton Woods agreement. Just after two years the World Bank issued its first and the largest loan of $250 million to France as post-war reconstruction. Every year the World Bank brings out some of its major publications which basically speak of the every aspect of development. The publications brought out by the World Bank cover such topics including the role of the state, transition economies, labor, infrastructure, health, the environment, and poverty. Doing Business 2008

This is the fifth publication brought out by the World Bank in a series of annual reports comparing business policies in 178 countries.

A Guide to the World Bank

This is the updated second edition that provides an overview of the World Bank Group's history, the entire organization, mission of the World Bank, and purpose.

International Migration

The book on international migration provides process of new thinking on the link between migration and varied development indicators including such process as education and fertility.

The Global Family Planning Revolution

This was also one of a major World Bank Publications that indicated on Three Decades of Population Policies and Programs. The book was edited by Warren C. Robinson, John A. Ross. It focused on rapid development in the growth rate of population especially in developing countries post World War II.
